The Ridge road is also the venue for Summer festival, government functions and local celebrations during the New Year’s Eve. Prominent landmarks on the Ridge are a neo-Gothic structure of Church from 1844 and a tudorbethan styled library building built in 1910[1]. There are at least three statues on the ridge; that of Mahatma Gandhi, Indira Gandhi, and founder of Himachal Pradesh Dr. Y.S. Parmar, the first chief minister of Himachal Pradesh.

  7. shimla is a place of wonders and i love it the most, in fact i never being to this place but after seeing this site,i will surely go to at this place this year. it is so beautiful.

  8. i love shimla because my husband belongs to it. that is why i like it most. but this place is also blessed with beautiful natural climate which i love madly.

    Shimla is still one of my fav hill stations even after travelling to so many Hill stations of India. I just love the Mall of Shimla with it’s old world charm. Some very good hotels on Mall Shimla too.
